🌿 Finding Inspiration in the Quiet Moments

Nature is a big part of my everyday life and the heart of my artwork. Every morning, I enjoy going for a gentle walk. I listen to the birds calling, watch them move through the trees and across the sky, and sometimes see kangaroos in the distance.

I love the smell of the morning air and the soft movement of gum trees and eucalyptus leaves.

Even ravens, with their clever and curious personalities, make me smile. These small moments bring me joy.
They remind me to slow down and appreciate the world around me.
They inspire the colors, shapes, and gentle feeling in my art.

A Sad Moment in the Bushland

Recently, there were bushfires close to my home. When it was safe again, I walked through the nearby bushland. Seeing the burnt trees and the quiet, empty feeling made my heart heavy.

I kept thinking about the small animals and creatures that didn’t survive. The loss of their little homes and the damage to the land made me feel heartbroken.

I took a few photos during my walk to remember the moment and to honour the bushland I love. One of them shows a galah perched quietly on a burnt tree — a small, living presence in the middle of loss. These images remind me why nature matters so deeply to me, and why I continue to create with care.

Creating With Gratitude and Care

Even in this sadness, my love for nature has grown stronger. It reminds me how precious these everyday moments are — the birds, the trees, the morning air, the simple beauty around me.

These feelings shape my art. They guide me to create gently, with care and appreciation for the natural world.

My artwork is my way of noticing, remembering, and celebrating the small wonders that surround us.

Thank you for reading and for sharing this quiet journey with me.
I hope my art brings a little softness and peace to your day.
